Description
Lovely pair (mother and baby) of mid-century Bitossi Italian pottery doves/quail/pigeons/ birds created for Rosenthal Netter. They both retain their original Rosenthal Netter labels on their underside, as shown, and are also marked by hand "54/15" Italy and "54/16" Italy. They have a roughly textured surface, and are decorated with mustard yellow colored bodies, along with green and brown floral embellishments. Each side is different colors so they look slightly different depending on which side you choose to face you. They are both in great condition. Fully glazed both inside and outside. The large bird measures 8" tall by 6" wide by 5" long. The small bird measures 6 1/4" tall by 5" wide by 4" long. I checked them over and didn’t see any breaks, chip or repairs. The only tiny mar I noticed was a small spot on one eye. I can’t tell if it is a ding or if it is just how it was from the factory. Amazing pair that is so rare to find! Please review all of the photographs for additional condition reporting. Thank you for looking!
