Description

An outstanding porcelain figurine of two Dachshund dogs standing together on a porcelain plinth by Rosenthal (Germany). Modeled by Rosenthal's outstanding animal sculptor Fritz Heidenreich, and signed on the base. The Rosenthal hallmark as well as a scarce Rosenthal paper label show under the plinth (see photos). This lovely pair of Dachshunds, one a male and one a female, are beautifully modeled with fine detail and gorgeous decoration. The female Dachshund is placed behind the male, and appears to be peeking out while he takes a protective stance. Just beautiful! Measures 3 1/2" tall by 6 7/8" long by 4 1/2" deep.
