Description

This antique Royal Crown Derby cabinet plate was made specifically for Tiffany & Co. by Royal Crown Derby at their Osmaston Road factory in Derby England circa 1877-1880. This beautiful plate would have been sold from the building Tiffany and Co. built in 1870 at Union Square. The plate’s “Tiffany blue” base color is probably no coincidence. It is heavily decorated with raised gold and silver vegetation, and a very well done, detailed hand painted underwater scene featuring a Northern Pike. There are no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs but there is some gold loss on the outer rim of the plate in a section. It measures 9.25“ in diameter.
