The factory is still making fine-quality table wares and figurines. Rosenthal china is still being produced in Bavaria. In 1904, Franz with his family leaves the family estate in Hungary and moves to Germany. Franz Nagy as a child was gifted artistically and dreamed of becoming a painter of porcelain. In the years 1906-1908 he attended the school of applied arts in Munich and just completed his studies he works as a trainer at the Nymphenburg Porcelain factory. Here he met the famous porcelain painter and sculptor Theodor Kärner, who became a lifelong friend. In 1921, Franz Nagy, together with Theodor Kärner began working for the company Rosenthal, known for their exceptional artistic qualities. For the 50th birthday of the owner, Philip Rosenthal, Franz was commissioned to paint the face of the owner on a plate.
