Description
This lot includes rare black and white photographs of the Sioux City Iowa Centennial Parade in 1954. The collection features 75-80 photographs produced by Kodak and captures the spirit of the historic event. The images showcase the parade participants, including elephants, trucks, and beauty queen type photos, etc. The photographs are perfect for collectors of vintage photography and those interested in the history of Sioux City. This lot is a must-have for anyone looking to add unique and rare pieces to their collection. These have been stored in the Kodak Film Kodakbromide box probably since 1954. The pictures are all bent to fit in the box, so would take some time to get them to lay straight. I have counted them, but they stick together some, so I believe there are approx 76 photos, but as they tend to stick together, I might be off by one or two, give or take. Shouldn't be that hard, but seems to be. I don't believe they have been out of the box to speak of, so condition is just from sitting too long... a bit curved... Marked on the back. Jul 26, 1954. Pakeltis Photo, Sioux City Iowa. A rare group of pictures I found when going through some boxes that have been stored from auctions for a good 20 years by us and obviously longer by others. Buyer to pay USPS GrAdv Shipping continental USA only. Email questions.
