3 Royal Doulton Hand-Painted Gold Encrusted Fish Plates Signed C. Holloway Offering a lovely trio of hand-painted plates by C. Holloway for Royal Doulton with underwater scenes of fish in the center and a gilt rim. All three plates feature a different scene and are signed C. Holloway. Two of the plates measure 8 7/8" diameter but the Haddock plate measures 8 3/4" diameter. All are stamped in green with the Royal Doulton mark and two are stamped with the retailer's mark, B. Altman & Co. New York. One depicts Haddock, one depicts Roach, and the third depicts Salmon. C. Holloway was a master porcelain painter who seems to have specialized in fish scenes. They are all in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or signs of damage or much use. Likely only ever displayed in a cabinet. Offering as a lot but I'm willing to break up the trio if you need just one to complete your set. Feel free to make an offer.
