Description
DESCRIPTION: : This is a pre-World War II Rosenthal porcelain figurine of a boy playing with a goat. It has the manufacturing mark that says it is hand painted and probably produced between 1935 and 1938. The initials of the artist, Max Hermann Fritz, are on the rim. He was a pupil fo the great Lorenz Hutschenreuther. Fritz created many sculptures of animals and children. The boy's hair is curly, and colored brown. The overall color is white. The goat has black hooves and brown fur in places. The figurine is 8"high, 3-½" long, and 3-¼" wide. It has had one owner, my mother, who purchased it in Germany after WW II.
