Description
CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain figurine of a woodcock bird was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in1934. The mark was used during this year. It has the artist’s signature, Fritz Heidenreich on the base. It measures 10 inches tall, 8 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide. The figurine is well modeled and realistically hand painted. His plumage is mottled perfectly to protect him in his habitat against predators. He also known as timberdoodle, Labrador twister, night partridge, and bog sucker, according to the Audubon Society. Some may think he is a dumb looking bird, but don’t be fooled. He can almost see behind him and he can sure catch a lot of worms with that long beak. #E245 Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. You will be blocked from further purchases.
